For four months I have gone back to school.. learning German, which is of course not only an important survival kit for anybody who lives in Germany, but also a great knowledge tool to have, as I always find learning another language will only bring you forward.
Now I am filled with a mixed reaction as the course has ended its journey. I have learned so much in the past few months, not only the language but also the Life in Germany. I have learned not only to pronounce ä ö ü ß correctly, but also learning that the national anthem was written by Joseph Haydn in 1797 with no intention to use it as a hymne. I also learned about the Politik and the Parliament in Germany, as well as the way this nation try to save the Environment. Something that is sadly not every country in the world is doing.
So yeah, I am sad it is ended. But I am also glad I have learned all the things that I have learned, and of course happy that I have met throughout my journey learning German so many new friends, who are also stranded in this great city. Now we are slowly but surely equipped with the weapon to overcome the conversation barrier. The course is over, but I think the story has only just begun.
